The new Plum seamless paper from Savage Universal

September 13, 2016 By Staff Writer Leave a Comment

cassandra-0827-6I’ve always tended to stick to certain colors for my backdrops. Grey and black for the dramatic lighting and black and white shots. Crimson red for that nice color, and yellow when I want to go bold.

Then out comes the new Plum color from Savage Universal. I knew I wanted to try it as soon as I saw the roll. Yes, there was a certain “Newness” factor, but I wanted to see how it really looked in an image.

My next shoot I used the Plum and absolutely loved it.

The color was beautiful and added a richness to the background. I tend to leave the background darker, but you can easily brighten it up.

I have shot with it several times now, had great results every time.

Another plus I noted is that it does not show footprints or other marks nearly as much as other colors. I realize that mileage will vary on this, but my experience has been very good so far.

Plum brings a great addition to the choices of seamless paper to use. Wether you are shooting pets, children, or portraits, it produces a beautiful color that will add to the image.

I mentioned earlier that Crimson was my “go to” for color in the background. That is now under serious contention since the arrival of Plum.
