We would like to welcome back our “Winter Visitors” to the Valley!
Our Phoenix Camera Club has many out of town members from all over the Northern US & Canada, and as they work their way back through our country we we have photowalks planned for them. Many of our Valley vistors come from Minnesota, Michigan, Alberta, and other parts of Canada! Every year they meander down here and enjoy the mild winters Arizona offers! The common theme is you don’t have to shovel sunshine!
Our local economy is boosted for a few months with the Winter Visitors commonly referred to as “Snowbirds” spending their money in our Valley of the Sun! Last year was a record year for the valley and we are seeing more eastern Canadians coming to AZ than going to Florida!
They come to enjoy the sun, get away form the 20 below winters and snow, and play in the pools, golf courses and tennis courts and they all bring their cameras! That is where Photographers Adventure Club comes in! We give Winter Visitors a reason to go out and do photography, learn and meet new people! Our group feeds all the needs for our out of town friends!
So if you are one of the 400,000 “Snowbirds” flying away from the cold and wintering in AZ – come join us today at PAC and dont forget your camera!
