Sharon’s Comments
We all work with our hands, but as a massage therapist mine are my livelihood. I wanted to show them in an intensely intimate way. That’s why I chose to do it in macro and black & white. Although this shot makes my hands look hard and rough, they are exactly the opposite, strong, soft and capable.
Congratulations, Sharon!!

– Not only in the neighborhood, but pointing to different neighborhoods. Really like the striking red against the blue sky, which pulls my eye right to that, then down to the signage, across the bricks and back to the red ball.
– Love the composition & colors!
Sandy’s Comments
This is part of a series of photos taken during a recent back home to New England along the Freedom Trail in Boston. I spotted this when we stopped in a little neighborhood corner market in Little Italy. Glad to share this piece of history and part of the country with you. Thank you so much.
Congratulations, Sandy!!

– I like the color pop of red and yellows, and the mountain, even though it is in the center, it is outweighed by the person in the foreground.
– Love the colors and how it fits with the theme … the hiker is resting and admiring her “perfect shot”!
Bernadine’s Comments
Our annual hiking/moose trip to Donnelly Dome, AK. The weekend was very wet and windy every day we camped with the exception of this particular day. The sun came out from behind the clouds, the wind slowed to a light breeze and the colors popped! The hubby was busy so a self-portrait was made. 🙂
Congratulations, Bernadine!!

Love the colors and composition. Great shot, Bernadine.
excellent choices. Congratulations to you all!
I love all the photos, my favorite has got to be the hands. I captured a similar one of my grandmother’s hands on her pottery that I treasure to this day. She passed away about a year later and I will always remember the photo shoot, she was so shy and said her hands made her look old. She didn’t like them and I thought they showed her wisdom. Thank you for reminding me of that photo, it was from about 10 years ago when I first got interested in photography. 🙂
Hats off to the WINNERS…you inspire me. 🙂
