All 3 of the following Weekly Photography Google+ Theme Recognition Winners have won a complimentary large print of their winning pictures from our sponsor, Vivyx Printing!
Also, as weekly winners, they are each in the running for the monthly Grand Prize of a $100 print credit with Vivyx Printing. Last month’s Grand Prize winner was Joe DiFlorio. The next monthly Grand Prize winner will be announced at our July 11, 2013 PAC meeting – our featured speaker will be Ruth Carter!
June was a really crazy month here at PAC, especially for our leaders who make things happen behind the scenes. Thanks so much for having patience with us, and with the technical issues we had, as we lagged behind in our weekly Theme Recognition Winners announcements.
Drum roll, please ……!

Story:
This photograph is one of those rare moments that came together for me as I was simply waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the bathroom at the local Ren-Fest we have here in the east valley. The performer was just wrapping up his performance and I was able to set down all the goodies I had seemed to accumulate during the day just in time for the final rather large fire blasts. Three shots and it was all over.
For me as it is for most of us photogs, it all comes down to knowing your gear, and being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
Congratulations, Lane!!

Story:
The photo was taken at my first Wedding I photographed for a friend. At the entrance for the guests, there was a cute line of cards with guest names that hung off a line of twine. On the wooden desk near it, they had a Polaroid camera, each guest was supposed to take a photo and hang it on the line. While photographing their rings, I used my guest tag to create my own memory of the day. I loved the wooden pin colors with the flowers and blue jewels.

Story:
I was traveling down a side road engaged in some work requiring me to stop on the side of the road occasionally. On one of these stops I saw a patch of Black-eyed Susans and decided to take a few shots. I saw the Buckeye on the flowers and maneuvered around in such a way as not to scare him off. I then took a few more shots before having to move on down the road.
Congratulations, Garrick!!
