::Google+ Weekly Photography Theme Recognition – “Blowing in the Wind”::
From last week’s Google+ PAC Photography Community weekly “Blowing in the Wind” photography theme challenge, the judges have chosen to highlight “Amber Waves” – a picture made by another two-time (so far) winner! They chose Archie Tucker’s picture he took of his wife standing in a field on a breezy day!
Congratulations, Archie!

Why the judges love this picture:
Love the movement of the field and in her hair. Not seeing her face gives this a bit of mystery and maybe that she is reflecting on something, or in deep thought.
The way the wind is moving across the field, like ripples on a lake just work for me. Great shot!
Beautiful and elegant. Wonderful color contrasts as well. The movement and position of the model add to a story left up to the viewers interpretation.
When asked about the story behind this picture, Archie told us:
The photo was taken in the West Valley, same area I grew-up in. Thought that my wife’s hair would go well with the field of barley.
Archie, a Semi-Professional Photographer who lives in Glendale, Arizona made this picture using his Sony A77.
His settings are as follows:
ISO 200
Shutter Speed 1/320 sec
Focal Length 45mm
Aperture f/9
Archie’s background in photography may be found here.
Archie is an active poster in our Google+ Community. His web presence can be found at: http://www.aotucker.com and of course on Google+.

::Google+ Weekly Photography Theme Recognition – “PRO – Magazine or Blog”::
For last week’s Google+ PAC Photography Community theme, “PRO – Magazine or Blog” our judges have chosen to highlight this gripping picture that could easily be on the cover of an “Alien Abduction” magazine, which was made by Bob Johnston.
Congratulations, Bob!

What the judges said about this picture:
LOVE THIS!!!
Fun shoot, good light…great illusion!
I thoroughly enjoy this image. It’s imaginative and fun. I like the colors used and the setting of a room void of anything but a curtain helps you focus on the subject.
Bob is a Hobbyist Photographer who lives in Cave Creek, Arizona. He made this picture with his Canon Rebel T1i.
His settings are:
ISO 800
Focal Length 15mm
Aperture f/14
Shutter Speed 1/60sec
When asked about the story behind this picture, Bob said:
My son and I had some fun… moved the piano out of the living room, set up a couple speedlites outside the window with blue and green gels. I had to do some post to clone out the drum stool that (he) was balanced on as well as the dents in the carpet from the piano.
Bob is active in our G+ Community. We appreciate your participation, Bob, and look forward to more of your photos! Congratulations, again!

Love the colors … and the petals blurred out really draws me into the image.
Great color & focus point!
Beautiful colors & love the composition!
