In a previous article I mentioned how there are so many LED lights out there these days. One of the companies whose lights continue to impress us is Genaray. The Full Moon 18″ Bi-Color is another one that has caught our eye. As the name states it is 18″ in diameter, that’s big enough to be used as a beauty dish. With over 7000 lux at 3′ it’s plenty bright enough as well. The front panel is covered with diffusion to control specular highlights and the diodes are mounted around the perimeter which create a very even illumination. This worked well for a black and white film shot as well! It provided sufficient light, despite limited ISO of film
