::Facebook PAC Group — Creative “Mexican Food, Drink & Dance” Theme Recognition ::
For last week’s Facebook Group Creative Theme, “Mexican Food, Drink & Dance” our judges have chosen to highlight Jay Beckman’s picture of a bright green frozen margarita garnished with a red chili pepper!
Congratulations, Jay!
Beautifully lit, tack-sharp, and the colors of Mexico – just perfect!

Jay reports his settings, and set-up, for this picture as follows:
Shot with a Canon EOS 5D + 24-105mm f/4L IS
Shutter Speed 1/125s
Aperture f/8
ISO 100
Studio set-up for this shot: Two Elinchrom 600RX with soft boxes mounted. Background was simply white foam core set up on a card table. Drink was real margarita mix (virgin) with real salt and a real red chili pepper. Exposure was set to slightly blow out the white background to minimize dodging in post.

::Facebook PAC Group — PRO “Family Portraits” Photography Theme Recognition::
Last week, we started a new “PRO” theme! One does not have to be a “Pro” photographer in order to participate. The idea of the “PRO” themes is that submissions are of the nature one would take for a paid photography job.
That being said … for our very first “PRO” theme, “Family Portraits,” Our judges selected Laura Gordillo’s beautiful, even ethereal, picture she took of a mother and her infant daughter.
The lighting and soft b&w treatment are just perfect!
Congratulations, Laura!!

Laura is a professional photographer in the Phoenix, Arizona area. More of her work, and information about hiring her, may be found at http://www.lgordillophoto.com.
Laura used her Canon 60D to create this picture.
Her settings are as follows:
ISO 125
Shutter Speed 1/400s
Focal Length 50
Aperture f/2.5
When asked about her winning photo, Laura told us:
A bit of info about this photo, what can I say! My subjects were absolutely GORGEOUS!! I was inspired by their beautiful head pieces the mother had
purchased from Sleepy Shimmer. After looking at these head pieces I wanted the images to be elegant, organic, soft and tender. The outcome of this
entire session was just amazing! I love how beautiful and intimate the images turned out 🙂
Laura is relatively new to the PAC. We are so glad she has jumped in and shared her pictures with us! We’re looking forward to seeing much more of your
work, Laura!
:: Google+ “All About Mom” Theme Recognition::
As we only had one submission for last week’s Google+ http://www.pacgplus.com/ Theme, “All About Mom,” we were unable to designate a Google+ Theme Recognition Winner for this week.
