The close out of 2011’s Holiday Smugmug meeting was a HUGE success!
We had three very attractive models posing under studio lighting, instructions on how to take high quality studio shots and over 50 photographers networking and mingling.
The collaboration of other photographers made this Happy Hour event outstanding.
Members contributed lights, studio backdrops, pocket wizards and educated instructions.
The enthusiasm, excitement and energy from these meetings are all very positive feedback!
The gatherings are steadily growing in size and for 2012 it will be necessary to either have two events or increase the size of our meeting establishment!

Funny! I was having a FB discussion with people arguing Denim is not allowed to be worn at archery events because it doesn’t look professional as compared to track or even sweat pants. Then I saw this. I posted a link to the above image with no less than ten photographers visible all wearing very blue denim! Obviously we all think it looks professional! Personally, I think archers ought to wear tights!
This is AZ People usually show up in Flip Flops & Shorts even in the middle of winter, I am not used to the informal nature of this state but it is pretty common to be relaxed here! Tights hmmmm 🙂
