I like the side and back lighting. Interesting subject, and fluid lines. I like the composition.
I second that! Great image.
Lots of drama, almost Promethian!
Love the tones & composition of this image. I feel that this image helps the viewer to ask questions about the story behind the torch, when and where it occurred. Well done.
This image stands out – I vote here!
TRICIA’S COMMENT
This image is from a ceremony performed twice a day on the Ganges River in Varanasi, by Vedic priests. It’s a mesmerizing array of fire, movement, and song. I wanted to show one part of it, to interest the viewer, and leave a bit of mystery. My biggest challenge was hand-holding the 70-200mm lens.
WINNER WEEK 14
Theme: “How Low Can You Go?”
Winning Photographer: Ken Bruce – Glendale, AZ – Hobbyist

Love the colors and that little guy.
To me, this has the best defined subject and the simplest composition – that’s why I like it.
I second that.
Like the soft pastel colors.
That’s weird – there were no comments until I posted my comment. All of which echo my own thoughts.
For this photo, it took me several times throughout the day to feel and be one with it because the first time viewing it was not enough! I enjoyed absorbing the soothing colors and the connection of both bee and dandelion flower, under the sun and blue sky. The way the image is tilted emoted flight, gentle breeze, a dance for a vibrant life as well as the smooth soft blurriness of color tones accentuating the wholeness of this image conveying a happy sense of motion and direction for me. Perfect and Kudos to the Photographer!
BRUCE’S COMMENT
This was taken during a trip to the Boyce Thomson Arboretum State Park. There were a couple of bees flying around so I set up in front of the flower and waited for the bee to take center stage. It took a few pictures to get it focus but I finally got it.
Once again, congratulations to our two theme winners – Tricia and Ken!
Please comment on this post to show our PAC G+ Photography Contest winners some love! Also, don’t forget to take some time to check out the other awesome themed photos, on Google+ and on Facebook.
Get inspired! Go out and shoot!
Congratulations Tricia and Bruce!! Great shots.
