This photo makes you feel you are there, experiencing the brisk winter air with a touch of warmth from the sun. It tells a story, not just theirs, but anyone else who’s experienced that kind of day.
Snow….using the shadow’s to create leading lines is brilliant, I also like the dynamic tension the negative tree’s make.
This photo brings more winter memories to mind for me than the other candidates. My eyes are drawn toward the gazebo by leading lines of the trees and shadows. I can imagine feeling the crisp air in my lungs and the crunchy snow under my feet.
I agree, this photo can bring anyone back to a familiar memory of experiencing a sunny day in the cold of winter. I love the use of contrast and leading lines in this image
Agree with the crown on this one – this says winter, has great lines, a cold sun peeking out.
This photo really speaks winter to me. The snow, long dark shadows, leafless trees, a sun that isn’t providing much warmth. It reminds me of a park I often visited in my youth.
This photo can take anyone back to a “winter memory”! Beautiful capture! Love how the sun shimmers on the snow, the clouds to the left are so bright, the ones on the left in the far distant, the trees look so peaceful and the gazebo in the center just knocks this out of the part! I absolutely love it! Great job!
MARY’S COMMENTS
This photo was taken on one of the “polar vortex” minus 14 wind chill days, but the sun was shining and it was a great day for photography. Muskegon Michigan is a beautiful place along Lake Michigan for nature photography! It has great memories for me, in any season!
Once again, congratulations, Mary!
