Our theme in Cache Valley Utah this month was long exposure photography. We started the month with an inspiration slideshow of awesome long exposure shots put together by Mike Johnson.
After the presentation, about 30 photographers ventured out on the nearby streets with our cameras and tripods to test it out. Over the month, we had small groups and big groups go out throughout the Valley and state and capture long exposures. There were portrait shots, cityscapes, night-scapes and landscapes.
I love how each photographer can create their own interpretation and images from the same information. We finished out the month with an amazing presentation by Casey Grimley. Casey is a photographer that lives outside of our Valley, but traveled up to share. He is an amazing night photographer, and loves his long exposures. After Casey’s presentation, he took a few photographers out to Sardine Canyon to teach even more.
