October 31, 2012 By Nicholas Pappagallo Jr. Leave a Comment

Lewis KemperIt was a great experience to have a Canon Explorer of Light guest speaker at the Tempe Center for the Art’s for September’s Monthly SmugMug meeting.

The facility is very modern with awesome views of the downtown Tempe bridges and Tempe Town Lake.   Over 110 people attended excited to learn some new photography skills.
The introduction to the meeting was by Jim David & Nicholas Pappagallo from the 2 Valley SMUGS

Lewis Kemper was the guest speaker for September’s Smugmug meeting.  Lewis began his presentation with inspiring photographs of his world travels and some beautiful scenery.  He then proceeded to give visual instructions on capturing images at high ISO’s, HDR, stitching Panoramic, Depth of Field and time lapse photography. He also discussed Adobe Photoshop cs6, Lightroom 4, Photomatix, Nik HDR Efex 2

Lewis had a presenting style that was simple and relatively easy to follow, all skill levels could have gained very useful information.Canon Explorer of Light
After the presentation and questions from the audience, over $1000 in  prizes were given away. Including 2 free SmugMug accounts and great products from Nik Software: HDR Efex Pro 2  & Silver Efex 2 (NIK Discount code: AZPhoto10), Bay Photo, WHCC, Lewis Kemper, Black Rapid, & SMUGMug Goodies!  This was a big crowd pleaser!
