At our second meeting for our Help-Portrait event in December, it was announced who we would have the pleasure to assist with our talents and skills. We are partnering with the Down Syndrome Network (DSNetwork) and taking photos for them at their Annual Holiday Party on December 14, 2013. We will be taking photos in a variety of locations at the party.
There will be traditional Help-Portrait studio set-ups to take the very important family photos. And to allow more people to be involved in the photography aspect of the event we are going to have a photo booth area, general event photographs, and the ever-important photos with Santa. Because Help Portrait is not a closed event, but the party is, we are going to have a separate area for people who are not associated with the DSNetwork to have their photos taken in a separate area away from the party.
Printers are only going to be set up at the studio locations. We are printing only the family portraits and the walk-in portraits. The event photos will be provided to the DSNetwork organizers for guests at the party to obtain their images from them. This year’s event is going to be held at The Venue in Scottsdale. The address is 7117 rd E. 3rd Ave.
We will announce the different committees soon and will ask everyone to join at least one. We want everyone to come to the event knowing
what he or she will be doing.
If you would like to be one of the portrait photographers, please submit a minimum of ten images for review to Nick. You can email him a link to your website as well. While PAC is all about training photographers, this is an event where we wan to give our very best. We are happy to pair up less experienced photographers to be assistants for the main shooters.
Our next meeting for Help-Portrait is tentatively scheduled for the end of September at the same venue we had our last one. We will let you know when a date is confirmed.
